Our practice is not in-network with and does not bill health insurance companies directly. We are able to provide a receipt known as a "superbill" that you can submit to your insurance company to see if they will reimburse you; however, you will need to call and confirm that they will do this reimbursement as not all insurance companies offer reimbursement.

It is highly encouraged to discuss this with your insurance company prior to our appointment. *One resource you may use to check your out of network benefits is Mentaya. Many clients who have out of network benefits may be able to receive reimbursement for services. Our therapy services (Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, CBT for Insomnia) may be completed virtually.

Whether a session will be in person for testing requires on the scope of testing. Testing for MCAT reports, ADHD Testing, Learning Disability, and Autism testing require one in person day (the intake and feedback sessions may be scheduled virtually at your preference).

Career assessment/counseling appointments are available virtually.

Testing requires several steps, which may slightly differ based on the assessment need/referral question. The core process will consist of:

1) An intake session including a clinical interview, which can be remote or in-person. On average, this will take 60-90 minutes. Paperwork will be provided ahead of time to complete, and some additional links for questionnaires to be completed will be provided.

2) An in-person meeting will be scheduled for 3-4 hours on a Saturday or Sunday. This day will include cognitive and achievement testing, completing an assessment on a computer, and potentially additional questionnaires.

3) I will work on providing a comprehensive psychological report over the next 1-1.5 weeks. I will schedule a feedback session with you that may be completed virtually, and last an hour. In this session, I will review testing results with you and provide the final psychological report that you may take home with you. I can also fax the report to any providers of your choice.

Mentaya is a platform that our practice collaborates with that can look up your out-of-network benefits so that we can enter claims for you to potentially be reimbursed if you have out of network benefits. It is recommended that you double check by calling your insurance company after checking your Mentaya benefits about the specific services you are looking to get reimbursed for.
