Frequently asked questions

  • We provide ADHD and LD testing to children ages 8+ through adulthood.

We provide therapy to teenagers and adults of all ages.

We provide autism testing to individuals ages 13+.

  • Our practice is not in-network with and does not bill health insurance companies directly. We are able to provide a receipt known as a "superbill" that you can submit to your insurance company to see if they will reimburse you; however, you will need to call and confirm that they will do this reimbursement as not all insurance companies offer reimbursement.

Please review our “health insurance” section for more info.

  • We offer both!

Our therapy services, including Prolonged Exposure, Cognitive Processing Therapy, and CBT for Insomnia, are available virtually.

In-person sessions are required for certain testing, such as MCAT reports, ADHD, Learning Disabilities, and Autism assessments, which necessitate one day of in-person attendance. Intake and feedback sessions can be scheduled virtually at your convenience.

*Depending on case complexity and age- we may be able to to complete some ADHD testing virtually. This would not be appropriate for testing individuals under the age of 14.

Career assessment and counseling appointments are also offered virtually.

For therapy, our in-person availability is on Fridays and weekends. Our virtual availability is more flexible.

  • Item descriptionTesting involves several steps that may vary based on the specific assessment needs. The core process includes:

    1. Intake Session: A clinical interview, conducted either remotely or in-person, lasting 60-90 minutes. Paperwork will be provided in advance, along with links for additional questionnaires.

    2. In-Person Testing: An in-person appointment for cognitive and achievement testing, which may include computer assessments and additional questionnaires.

    3. Report Preparation: Your provider will prepare a comprehensive psychological report within 1-2 weeks. A feedback session will be scheduled, lasting about an hour, where we will review the results and provide you with the final report. We can also fax it to any providers you designate.

  • We can talk about this more thoroughly during our phone consult, but there are a few reasons testing can be helpful.

For children, this can help clarify areas of difficulty, highlight strengths, and support your child in receiving tailored support ol.at accommodations at school. Testing can also help your child understand their interpersonal difficulties and we can make suggestions for resources in the area that may support them.

For adults, many people have been living with undiagnosed neurodiversity for their whole lives. An ADHD, ASD, or other diagnosis can provide clarity to help with treatment planning, self-understanding, med management, and more. Even if test results suggest that something else may be impacting you, the testing process will help us tailor recommendations and resources for your healing journey.

Testing can also support folks who are wanting to return to school and have had difficulties with staying enrolled. Our reports may be provided to university Disability Resource Centers and may help support you with accommodations at the university level. High school students receiving testing may hold on to this report and provide to their university when they reach that time in their life.
